photos taken May 20th 2023 of lavender phlox and pink pigsqueak.

This week my garden is pretty.  Not a very exciting statement, but it’s at the point of the season where I like to just wander around in it and look at the pretty (including my pigsqeak looking all happy pink and bright!).  So, I think it’s really nice.

Looking back 1-2 weeks and 1-2 years suggests my earliest roses – Austen Copper 🙂 – might be showing up soon.  Though, it should be noted the super cold snap this winter may end up having an impact on that score.  I’ve had to prune out lots of dead canes from other roses.

A mosaic of 11 weekly garden images showing early to late May for 2021-2023. Big color range, from lots of fluffy purples and whites to super-bright red-oranges, all mixed together.

Looking back 2-4 weeks and 2-4 years shows lots of flowers all around and all the colors mixed together.  It also holds out hope of irises (the bigger ones) showing up soon.  Fingers still crossed, though, because right now they’re still acting like long, pointy leaves are all I’m gonna get this year.

…This week my garden is sunny and bright.
