photos taken August 18th and 21st 2023 of a small red rose and sunflowers.

This week my garden is sad that I’ve been so busy lately and haven’t been watering it properly.  Even still, one of my roses has given me one more sweet flower to cheer me up, and the evening primrose also.  The plantain lily smells so sweet it reminds me of my mother’s perfume.  And the sunflowers are bright, bright standing in front of the road.

Looking back 1-2 weeks and 1-2 years shows this is indeed the time of the street-side sunflowers, and sometimes of roses.

…This week my garden is full of lots of jumping grasshoppers, who scatter when I wade into it.
