photos taken April 14th and 15th 2024 of white plum blossoms and apple blossoms.

(sorry for the late posting – I was having login issues…)

So what’s your preference?  Apple blossoms or plum blossoms?  Frothy and lush, or simple and elegant?  Because this seems to be the week for both!  Of my three sets of plum bushes, these are my earliest blooming (and much beloved by the bees).  I would say that it’s a tad early for the apple blossoms, but I’ve been seeing them blooming all over town, so I guess it’s their time too.

Looking back 1-2 weeks and 1-2 years does suggest the apple blossoms might be a titch early (it has been a very warm spring so far).  Otherwise it says, Yay for all the flowers flowering!

Looking back 2-4 weeks and 2-4 years shows quite the march of spring, from the earliest hellebores contending with snow, to irises on the horizon.  Also, that line of red tulips is so very fashionable beside those white plum blossoms they must each year make way for.

…This week my garden would like a bit more moisture, but is almost blooming in spite of itself.
