photos taken September 21st and 22nd 2024 of pink-blooming sedums and backyard trees.

This week we’ve had nice, cool temperatures and lovely moisture, so things are looking very lush and green.  But we’ve also got those first sprinklings of fall colors and so, with such a small change, now I look out my window and see a fall garden, rather than a summer one.

Looking back 1-2 weeks and 1-2 years shows other hints of fall colors to come, while also really leaning in to the pink- and purple-flowers scheme (or plums, as the case may be).

Looking back 2-4 weeks and 2-4 years further emphasizes both the fruits and the fall foliage (of both the natural and the festive varieties).  The seasons of bounty and change.

…This week my garden is settling down comfortably, while blooming a bit as it feels like it.
