Weekly Garden Snapshot: 2023 week 16
Well, we got more snow this week so that I woke up and looked outside and everything looked like it had been frosted with powdered sugar. It was cool enough and enough snow to hang around for a day or so and provide some proper moisture, so everything was beautiful, beautiful white and green. The winter brown has finally been chased away, and the tulips are really gearing themselves up to go.
Looking back 1-2 weeks and 1-2 years shows a tiny hint of tulips (I got sorrowfully few last year, for which I mostly blame the voles), but plenty of other beautiful blossoms heading our way.
Looking back 2-4 weeks and 2-4 years, gives a hint of what the tulips are like in the good years, and a reminder of all the white blossoms. Will it be plum or pear or apple blossoms showing up first?
…This week my garden is spring green! Lovely and alive.
